Hi

The shuttle bus from Nakhom Phanom airport is included in the booking when you book a flight BKK-Mukdahan with Air Asia.

I used tuk tuks outside consulate.50 baht a head. The bus station is about 2km from the Consulate and in was roasting with no shade so I just wanted to get back alive.

about 1.3km max . Nice stroll in morning but can be quite hot & sunny this time of year from late morning onwards. safe walk as have pavement.

Going for my Non-O visa for marriage next week. Going to pay for the 12 month visa.

Have original marriage cert, wife's ID card and blue book and multiple copies of everything. Also, I have photos to take and the 500 baht fee.

Have I forgotten anything?

Also, can someone please clarify the 12 month visa. Does this mean a border run every 90 days or 90 day reporting at immigration?

Fee is Bt 5,000 not 500. Copies have to be signed. Original of ID and house book are not needed.

With a multi'entry visa you need to make a border hop every 90 days unless you extend each entry for further 60 days at immigration. Fee Bt 1,900.

signed & dated. Be very polite & organised then no hassle.

visa is multi entry so you can come & go as many times as you want & longest permitted stay is 90 days before needing border crossing or also could extend 60days at immigration if needed although I wouldn't bother doing that unless really needed for some specific reason. also making one last exit & entry on last day or day before the visa expiry will still get you 90 days giving you 15 months from visa plus an extension on final entry should you want to.

Oops. I meant 5000, not 500. 500 would be great though.

Are they choosy regarding photos? ie; background colour, exact size, glasses or no glasses

I'm taking everything with me, plus the wife, just in case.

Cheers for the reply

I have seen no reports of photos being rejected in Savannakhet.. They should not be so big that they will noy fit on the application form.

I just used photoshop to chop a photo & change background to light grey.

They not overly fussy as long as decent enough & obviously you & right/sensible size you should be fine.

My photos were 34mm by 44mm. 30mm by 40mm probably better for the form but it no issue generally .

Took pic from passport before too, just use a camera or get good scan of passport then crop/size & print a few on a A4 sheet.

looks ok too ...
