Need advise regarding getting new Non-B for myself & Non-O for spouse simultaneously

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'll be changing jobs shortly, and this entails canceling my existing visa (extension of stay) & Work Permit and then going to the Thai consulate in my country to get a new single-entry non-B.

My question is regarding my spouse who is Chinese & currently in China.

Can she also apply for Non-O / spouse / dependent visa concurrently as I'm applying for my new non-B assuming the paperwork is done for her too?

Or will she have to wait until I enter the country on the fresh Non-B, get the new WP and then she applies for her visa thereafter?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Cheers

She should be able to do it concurently, with full documents.

(Which would include a copy of your new non-B, so a few days later then you not on the same day).

Not sure where you will be applying for your non-b visa. Chinese are on the list of countries that must apply for visas in their home country which could mean she would not be able to apply for hers at the same place as you do.

Many embassies and consulates would normally allow you to apply for your non-b visa and your wife to apply for the non-o at the same time.
