Top Nam Film?

Nam, referring to Vietnam war film.

I'm not sure what I would count as number 1 as all 5 of these are equally good but if I had to choose it would probably be The Deer Hunter.

1. The Deer Hunter

2. Platoon

3. Apocalypse Now

4. Heaven & Earth

5. Casualties of War

Platoon has been for me one of the best movies ever...

Platoon was the first one I ever watched. Would of put it at number 1 but The deer hunter has a longer story and deals with both pre war, war and ptsd which makes it more unique.

The truth is I probably almost did nearly piss myself laughing the the first time I watched it. Brutal insults.

The Quiet American - the recent one, with Michael Caine. The ending was much more satisfactory than the book; the benefits of hind sight, eh?

I like the one with the little girl who ended up losing her kite....then everyone eats fish and its like nothing ever happened.

Bloody hell what about first blood and Rambo.

First blood deals with post war and Ptsd
And a guy who served in nam.

I would possibly add it to my top 10 but I can't understand a word he says in the last scene.
