Licence - have to get it from licence place where I live ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I got a 1 year motorbike licence but let it expire. Showed the lady my UK car licence before that showed I am allowed to drive a three wheel bike or scooter (no motorbike licence from UK) and so she issued me a motorbike licence 1 year. Went back again with same uk licence and expired Thai licence and she turned me down. When she asked who gave me the licence before, I said, 'You."

Now she insists I do the full test or get my whole licence translated into Thai at my embassy in Bangkok. Too far away.

Can I choose a different gov licence department in my province to try to show the UK licence again and the expired Thai one or do I have to take it to the office in the town I live. I have a non-o marriage visa.

Thanks for any input. wai.gif

I think when your license expires there is a renewal grace period where you can still renew the old license without taking the written and road test again. I forget how many months they give you though to renew after expiry.
