Instead of improving on current service, they cut back on (current service) available channels and are now promoting the sales of a 150 channel digital system.

IMHO shame on you true, sophon AND while i am at it Thailand customer service too.

My sophon still has the same 3 movie channels, 1 cartoon, 3 news and scifi and universal. So nothing has changed for me although id welcome a digital hd signal and gladly pay more.

I chucked sophon when they put the fee up was it last year or before,anyway went to ipm sattelite for just a little over 2k has thai and english channels but i myself just watch the odd movie or two,well worth the initial outlay and no more monthly fee ever.

Something I've noticed recently on Sophon is that there is a lot more broadcast time devoted to promotional/advertising programs. Sometimes all three movie channels are showing promos at the same time.

They do have some very long commercial time periods, longer than the large/bigger channels, time to flip/change, maybe come back later.

The new digital service is a good deal.

For 790 baht you can purchase the digital box from Sophon and get 150 digital channels for no extra charge. There is a voucher for 690 baht for Thai people.

When I signed up for their digital programs, I paid one year in advance at 300 baht a month. Desktop box was included at no charge.
