Resort Suggestions Krabi in July

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've never been to Thailand and part of the trip involves five nights in Krabi. We have two kids (11 and 12) to consider. We are aware the weather could be iffy so we want a resort with a decent sized pool and on or very near the beach--and a nice beach at that. I hope to be able to see the karst cliff rocks from my sun chair! The pool is important if we can't get in the water at the beach so that's why I mention it. I looked at the Sofitel (not on the beach but giant pool), Centara Grand and Amari Vogue (smaller pool but property looks nice). We have to get two rooms as there are four of us. Four or five star would be our choice but not at $1200 per room. The Ritz is too much. Does anyone prefer one of these resorts over the other or have a different suggestion? Thank you!

Centara Grand is only accessible by boat so unless the weather is good for the shuttle boats you are stuck in the resort.

Not exactly seeing karsts from your beach chair but on a wickedly great strip (hat napparat) of beach, boats at your front step to Railei and other destinations (weather permitting), walking distance into Ao Nang and a great pool is Srisukant Resort. Should be a super reasonable rate that time of year too.

Golden Beach, Ao Nang Villa and Peace Laguna are right in front of the huge karst cliffs and all have decent pools and are within walking distance to the beach and numerous restaurants. Another option is the Tipa Resort.
