I'm not sure mate, might want to get some free legal advice before you decide to take action

Its not as simple as that....i just painted the whole place and my buddy is headed here for his honeymoom.....and like ive said i e been in this place for a long time

Don't respond, I think it's a load of cr&p. With all of the problems they have here the beloved leader is not interested in you, your home or your company home ownership. Someone else sent the letter in the hope of scaring you away and making a personal gain. Possibly the 51% holders of your property/company.

My wife is leaving cause of it.

I can understand your frustration but there is probably a loophole around it, speak to someone and explain your situation. Someone who can offer free legal advice in this area.

Thanks for the advice....everbody in the whole area has the same letter.....and ny friends in the next city as well.

Sounds like some sort of a scam going on. Nothing to worry about

Can't you just put it in the mother in law's name?

Just the kind of nonsense you should expect when seeking advice on anything of a serious nature on a forum of armchair professionals.

Just as the junta is keen to deal harshly with foreigners working illegally in Thailand, they're also VERY INTERESTED in making high profile examples of foreigners who may have used chicanery to circumvent rules prohibiting foreign ownership of land in the Kingdom.

Those deadlines show that the authorities mean business and if they don't like what they see, the OP's on the street.

OP needs to lawyer up like yesterday

Barb wire the perimeter, board up any entry points, lock and load.

So two whole villages have had the same letter. One would assume not everyone who live in both villages are farang.

Not sure I'd waste money on a lawyer, maybe get all the people village to visit the local council to ask what they know about it.

Please post a scan of the letter (of course remove any specific ID info if there is any)

The jokes meant to be on others, not yourself.

It's ok we laughed at you anyway.

Just cutting to the chase and asking for simple proof is usually all that's necessary to raise the BS flag.

OP:

Somebody needs to explain to you that going into a crowded movie theatre and yelling "fire" isn't everybody's idea of a funny April fool's prank.

Sorry if I got a little testy when I found out your post wasn't serious.
