[soundcloud][/soundcloud]I remember reading an account of this situation on this forum yesterday by a member who was present at the time. He said the man was extremly drunk, rude, aggresive and bothering the serving staff and was asked to leave then was escorted outside of the bar. He then tried to re-enter and was stopped by security and then accosted the security guards. I do not recommend the use of weapons or such but from the members description the guard did not use a hook but used one of those collaspsible batons you can buy at almost any stall on Beach Rd. I think the owner is doing much more than neccesary to make amends to a drunken fool that should have been escorted out by the police and thrown in the drunk tank. Apparently one of the serving girls also had gone to the police to request assistance (ha-ha) if that could have been expected. Now my rant is over but why should the owner have to suffer for a drunk, aggressive foriegner. As usual every post here has been hang the owner but yesterdays post makes more sense to me and I am not a tee-totaler and have been coming here for many years and have never had a problem

blitzfix's correction does refer to the pole they use to lower the metal grille at the front of many bars, and that does indeed have a hook on it.

The remainder of your post seems like a reasonable summation of blitzfix's firsthand account from the front of the club and there is another account in the same thread from a TVer who claims the Pole was making an a-hole of himself inside the go-go before he was asked to leave. Always two sides to every story but my experience here is that the hanging jury on this forum doesnt need to hear either of them - a Thai hitting a Farang with a hooked metal pole is the only 'story' they're interested in.

A drunken jerk is a drunken jerk is a drunken jerk, period. If the allegations are true and correct, that the Bouncers showed respect and restraint, then they are doing their job of protecting the Business, other customers, dancers and service staff, period. I would not give my staff a sensitivity training period, but a session in a Muay Thai to sharpen their defensive skills against drunken unruly customers. Some members might say that the Bouncers were heavy handed in using an iron rod, however that eliminated any further confrontation from this idiot by whacking him over the head. I would give my Bouncers a bonus and have my Attorney take care of all the legalities, including their defense. Two week Millionaires coming over and think they can do as they please. BS! I hope the owner 86'ed this fool from ever entering the Club. Let this stupid drunken moron do his crazed antics in Warsaw or where ever he's from, not here. thumbsup.gif

This is just a ploy to make them look good, because they know they will end up with more than a week closure if they are forced shut

I suspect he will tell his staff things like the following advice:

Be polite to our customers.

Our customers are why we are here. Without them, we are nothing. Without them, you do not have a job. Without them I cannot buy another condo for all cash next month.

Try to assault them only as a last resort. Yes, you think you are a really tough guy. I hired you because you are a tough guy. But, these days we can get bad press for a stupid move, so try not to be so stupid.

....."Re-train staff" The staff wasn't the problem, it was the two security guards. Fire the guards and hire some from a reputable Security Company. Hiring guards off the street is not a wise choice. " Use Night sticks", not sky hooks for protection.

i would suggest you review the definition of "staff".

I would also suggest he explains what a "sky hook" is.

And ask him how he knows the bouncers were hired off the street.

Also I'd ask him why he thinks bouncers should be allowed to use truncheons on civilians who aren't allowed to carry them lawfully.

On second thoughts I wouldn't ask him anything, the answers would be as nonsensical as his posts.

Which establishment do you own? Just to ensure I am not contributing towards your income and your foolishness. When dealing with an unruly someone, you only use as much force as is necessary. Outright stating you would train your staff in such a fashion would lead me to believe that you would encourage a beating within an inch of one's life.
