Golf cart

Is it legal to drive a golf cart inside a city? Would I have to/be able to register it and get a license plate?

If I'm not mistaken some hotels use Golf Carts as Service Vehicles along the quieter Soi's to and from the BTS etc..

Most may use their own Tuk-Tuk though.

I may be wrong: This leads me to believe that these 'low powered' electrical vehicles are legal without registration, but not on main streets.

Much in the same way, the smaller electric motorcycles can be used on the Sub-Soi's but not on main roads such as Sukhumvit, Rama IV etc.
