Help! Visa after a 6 month re entry!

Featured Replies

Hello Guys

Well I have got a wee problem , and need advice if possible. I have recently returned to my home country after a 6 month stay in SE asia , I got a triple entry visa to thailand , because i was planning on staying in Cambodia for a few months. Trying to keep this as short as possible my Visa in Thailand ran out on the 15th April.

Here's my problem , not thinking ahead about a visa ,I booked a flight to Thailand for the 19th April , not even giving the visa a second thought , so in my eyes I will be on return 5 days over my visa limit , will i have to pay a penalty and then also get a month's extension ? not sure if this is even possible , I have a business visa for Cambodia , which is where i was going to stay , but yes , you may scoff , but circumstances have changed , and I'm happy to say that I'm going to be a dad for the first time! This somewhat has changed my outlook on what i had planned for my future. Any help/ advice appreciated.

Thankyou Kindly.

If you are from a country that gets 30 day visa exempt entries you could enter on one of them but you could be asked for a return or onward ticket within 30 days to board you flight.

Or if you are from a country that gets a 15 day visa on arrival you could enter and pay the fee of 1000 baht to get one but you would need a ticket out of the country within 15 days.

If none of the above applies you would have to get a visa before traveling.

Problem solved I went to the Thai Consulate in Cyprus , they just gave me another 6 month triple entry visa. may need advice on what visa to apply for later , I am aiming to seek permanent residency , obviously with a child on the way.

whistling.gif We keep telling people that there is no prohibition against having tourist visas. one after the other but people don't seem to believe it.

I take it by Cyprus you meant the Greek Southern Cyprus and not the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus?

Yes , their offices are in Nicosia , yes a tourist visa is the way, not a problem at all. The down side is that you cannot work or conduct business , and have to do the border runs , but it's a splendid way to see the neighbouring countries.
