Tire installation costs

Featured Replies

Do most shops have the tire installation costs included in the tire prices?

What if a customer comes with his own pre-purchased tires, how much do the shops charge for installation, tube valve balance, and possibly aligment? Pickup. The old rims would be used.

ok not Chiang Mai but I had 4 strip fits done on my wife's car (I purchased some secondhand alloy rims and had her existing tires on the car changed over ) here in Chonburi.

cost was 800b including 4 balances and wheel alignment.

Here in Thailand I have never paid for tire fitting/balancing. It's all in the price. But a good question if supply own rims/tires.

Previous poster's 800 baht for 4 tires and balances seems reasonable, perhaps a little on the high side given 4 tires. But I would be happy to pay that.

P.S - I always give the tire fitter a 100 baht tip in his hand no matter how small the job.

Shop will fit for "free" if you buy from them. If you buy a full set of 4, they'll throw in free balancing & maybe alignment, plus rotation every 10,000 km.

For BYO, I imagine the charge will be reasonable, such a 150 bt for balancing, more for alignment. Most tyre shops have the prices displayed on the wall.
