Hi,

Me and my partner just got our IT related business approved with the BOI and I want to now change my non ED to a Non B as I will need a work permit.

I believe I just need to go to Laos or Cambodia with the relevant documents.

Since the company is approved with the BOI, is it any different to a company that is not with the BOI? Same process and fees?

You will not normally get a non-b visa without a work permit application approval letter. Most work permit offices will not accept an application if you have a ED visa or extension of stay for attending school. Normally you would have to leave and re-enter getting a visa exempt entry or a tourist visa in order a to apply.

If you have BOI approval you should check with the one stop center if you are in Bangkok to see what they will do.

Vientiane may also have different requirements if BOI approval is done. You should check with them as to what they will require.
