Donate to Nepal from Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi! I would like to make donation for Nepal. I have warm and summer cloths, children cloths, some mountains goods, tent etc. Try to find din Internet how to send it and where but most of organization accept donation by money only. I can bring my goods to some place in Bangkok or send it direct to Nepal by cheapest way. Please if somebody knows advice how to do.

I love Nepal and just canceled my flight could be in few days. I want to send that goods we prepared for travel, I think nepaly people need it in this hard time.

Aid organisations in the area have asked people not to send clothes or bulky items because transportation to Nepal is irregular at the moment, cargo space is limited and the clothes might not be the correct ones or needed. Financial aid is really what's needed for the relief effort. As hard as it is to accept, sending over your own tents and clothes isn't going to be the most helpful thing, even if you're heart is absolutely in the right place.

If you want to help there's two good ways you can assist. Financial aid is the most vital thing right now- you can find approved charities at http://www.bbb.org/council/news-events/news-releases/2015/04/nepal-earthquake-donation-tips/

Or you can help aid workers by joining in the effort to create more detailed maps- http://www.fastcoexist.com/3045527/one-way-you-can-help-nepal-right-now-all-you-need-is-a-computer-and-a-little-time

Thank you for reply.

Unfortunately I can not help with money or go there. My help now is only DO not go to Nepal and do not use their limited food and water.

In my opinion aid organizations can not use money in Nepal for buy clothes or tents, Nepal do not produce it much as need. Aids organizations probably will spend money to buy goods and import from other countries. So it is better do get it free than buy. I think no one poor nepali will get donated money.

I agree that make busy aircrafts with small packages it is wrong way. Maybe send many necessary things together could be useful.
