Finlaco
Hi Any member aware of the name (if any) of the tax certificate one gets from an employer when changing employment in Thailand (Thai national)? In Ireland and the UK, it’s referred to as a P45 and I believe in the USA (pink slip). Thanks
Monomial
There is no such thing. The terminated employee will receive a PND 51 form the following January, just like all current employees. At the new employer, the the accounting department must calculate withholding taxes for Thai nationals as if they have been working at their current salary for the entire year. Any refunds or settlements will be resolved when taxes are filed. An employee may request a recommendation letter from his previous employer when he leaves, but there is no government form for this.
