Are the banks open on Monday, 4 May? The calendar says yes, but somewhere I read that the Head Bean Counter had declared Monday as a holiday also since they will be closed Tuesday.

whistling.gif These are the scheduled holidays:

1 May (Friday) Labor Day

4 May (Monday) Additional Day approved by cabinet.

5 May (Tuesday) Coronation Day

The ones in Red are official government holidays

As I said previously ..... if you receive a pension monthly you need to be aware of how it is transferred into the country.

For Bangkok Bank , as an example, a pension is sent into the country through their Silom Road head office branch in Bangkok.

That will NOT be open on the 4th of May.

Therefore even if your funds are sent on Monday, there will be no human working to process the transfer....hit the enter/ acknowledge button.

That means your incoming funds will not be available for you at you bank branch to collect until the 6th of May at the earliest assuming the head Bangkok Bank branch opens at 8.a.m. t o process the queue of funds transfers waiting to be processed.

Learn to deal with it.

My residence wants to have the monthly bill paid by the 6th of each month.
