Annette Vernon, Chief Information Officer at the UK Identity and Passport Service will now be speaking at the forthcoming Global Identity Infrastructure Summit, taking place in London on 25-26 September. Annette will be presenting the latest information on the UK's future national register and ID card system, and will be joining a panel of high-level government speakers at the summit including:

Robert Mocny, Acting Director, US VISIT, Department of Homeland Security

Col. S. AlKubaisi, Director of Information System Department, Ministry of Interior, Qatar

Joseph Sensibaugh, FBI Biometric Interoperability Program Office

Jose Luis Diez Aguado, Director, Spanish Electronic ID Programme

Countries represented at the summit will include Belgium, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Ghana, USA, France, UAE, and Spain. An English-Spanish translation service will be available for any delegates requiring it. The international aspect of the event will ensure that delegates benefit from comparing their experiences with national ID systems with a variety of different countries.
