I went to Cambodia (yesterday), the day before my first entry time limit plus extension expired, and then re-entered Thailand to use the second entry, everything went smoothly but I am a little perplexed as to what a red date stamp means that was inserted by the IO at the top of my Thai Visa page. The Visa itself has a last entry date of July 5th, 2015... The top of my visa now shows two dates, February 4, 2015 (in blue) which is the date I used the first entry, and right next too it is the new stamp in red which reads, July 31 2015, (with no explanation) any ideas as to what that stamp signifies? Sorry I would send a copy of my visa page but the copy shop is closed until Wednesday. Any observations would be appreciated.

Just to make sure: your ADMITTED UNTIL stamp shows the correct date of July 1st 2015? (60 days from yesterday)

I can not understand why 31 July was stamped on the visa sticker (90 days from yesterday???).

Usually they seem to stamp the date of use (entry) on the visa sticker (would be May 3 2015 in your case).

"Usually": my multple Non O (2011) visa sticker did not get any such stamps although I used it for two entries.

I suspect a 90 day non immigrant entry stamp was made in error (rather than current entry date which is normal) - make sure you depart on or before your 60 days are up for your third entry.

A multi entry visa does not require such record of usage as there is no limit to the number of entries.

The "admitted until" stamp which I received yesterday shows July 1st, which is correct, and as you say "use date" of second entry as July 3rd. The (unexplained) red July 31st 2015 stamp is, and again as you say. it's significant because that would be the expiry of my second entry plus a 30 day extension. Bearing in mind my tr3 shows last entry as July 5th for the third entry, the positive side of me says the red July 31st stamp means he has extended my last entry to July 31st, the negative side says, it means I have to secure a brand new visa by July 31st, and my current TR3 will be defunct as of that date, and the IO has effectively changed my TR3 to a TR2 Can't think of any other explanation.

Your Tourist Visa is only valid for entry into Thailand until the 'Use by' date of July 3rd.

You will not be able to get your third 60 day entry unless you re-enter Thailand before this date.

No idea re the July 31st stamp, must be a mistake.

Please note that no-one, border guards included, can extend visas!

Thanks Digitalchromakey, yes, I was planning on another trip to Cambodia before the "Use by" date of July 5th mentioned on the TR3. If nobody knows what the significance of the red July 31st date stamp is, I may have to go to BKK Imm. and ask them, as you say, it may be a mistake, but with officialdom I like to know the reason for everything, and not get tripped up. I like it here and don't want my visit cut short by an error.

If you want to go to immigration there is a desk to correct such errors - they are not uncommon. But in this case it is just an error of the date entry made from second time rather than something that could cause overstay (as often the case).

Thanks Lopburi3, I will be going to the BKK imm., at some point to figure it out. It occurs to me that the IO's red July 31st stamp may have been telling me that if I don't do my 3rd entry on or before July 5, then to extend by 30 days this entry will take me past that last entry date, and I will indeed need a new Visa come July 31st.
