Five Phuket gang members arrested for drug possession

PHUKET: -- One Thai and four Burmese men known as the ʻReggae Gang̕ were arrested early this morning (May 13) in possession of 901.5 grams of marajuana and kratom leaves.

As part of their ongoing anti-drug and crime campaign in Patong, Kathu police this morning carried out checks around Patong which led to the arrest of five people who had in their session of 901.95 grams of marijuana and kratom leaves.

The five men were named as:

Suchat Kanpai, 69, who was found in possession of 900 grams of marijuana and one kratom tree.
Nai, 30, (Burmese) with cooked kratom leaves and kratom cocktail.

Winn Moe, 47,( Burmese) with two bundles of kratom leaves.

Mong Moe, 36, ( Burmese) with two bundles of kratom leaves.

Sho, 25, (Burmese) with 1.95 grams of marijuana.

All five are currently being held at Kathu Police Station where they face the following charges:

Winn Moe, Mong Moe and Sho illegal possession of a Category 5 drug.

Nai producing and possessing a Category 5 drug.

Suchat fpossession of Category 5 drugs with intent to supply.

here we are again Phuket update 4 Burmese and 1 thai man caught in possession of category 5 drugs yes they do appear to be very busy in Phuket these days continually in the news more than any other part of Thailand I wonder why that is.
