Visa run and visa extensions

Hey all,

I am getting my 2nd tourist visa in Laos soon. I am going to Vientiane. Can someone recommend a cheap place to stay near the Thai embassy?

Also, how many visa extensions are you allowed? I have already extended one visa...

if i extend another tourist visa for both entries at the same immigration dept., will I have problems? And if i have 3 back-to-back tourist visas, will I have a problem being denied entry into Thailand? One will have been from another country and 2 from Laos.

There is no limit on the number of extensions for a tourist visa entry. Same for entries on tourist visas

Until a consulate declines to issue another "visa" without proof of income originating from overseas !

Thanks for the info. How about a decent place to stay near the embassy... hostel or guesthouse and a place that will get the visa for you for a service fee.
