Featured Replies

Pattaya, Chon Buri:- Tourist police Tuesday raided two spa and herb products shops in Pattaya for selling soaps made to look like men’s sex organ and arrested two staffs.

The tourist police and a special operation unit of the Chon Buri Police raided the D Day spa and herb products shop and Siam Spa Extra Virgin shop following complaints that the two shops have been selling obscene goods to tourists. They complained that one of the shops is located in front of a temple.

Police raided the D Day shop in front of Wat Chaimongkol and found 107 penis-like soaps and 38 breast-like soaps. The soaps were openly displayed on shelves in the shop.

The cashier of the shop, Watchara Boonprakorb, 22, was arrested.

The second team of police raided the Siam Spa Extra Virgin shop in front of Soi South Pattaya 1. The shop sells herb and spa products like the D Day shop. Police found 11 boxes of soaps made to look like the men’s organ in its storage room. All in all, 1,263 penis-like soaps were seized.

Police arrested Tum Wongsaroj, 35, who was taking care of the shop.

Pol Maj Piyapong Ensarn, a tourist police inspector who led the raids, said the two shops are owned by the same owner.

Piyapong said Chon Buri tourist police had received a lot of complaints that the two shops were selling illegal and obscene goods and one of the shops is located near a temple and a school.

Staffs of the two shops were handed over to the Pattaya police station for legal actions for selling obscene products.

What exactly were they arrested and charged for? Illegal and obscene goods? How is soap illegal?

so they arrested a total of four... two shops, a cashier and a shop caretaker? huh.png

it's the penis size which is illegal in Thailand.

If it's illegal then they should have arrested one person .... The owner.

When I first coming to Thailand many wats had vendors at the exits and entrances of wats selling phallic symbols carved from wood of various sizes for sale. Pattaya used have a shrine near the wharf with lots of phallic symbols used for worship, the girls would burn incense and make offerings to the shrine.. Now it is illegal to have phallic symbols quite a change is society here.

Search Chae Mae Tuptim and see phallic symbols are part of Thai culture.

Thailand's latest soap opera. Were the staff screaming and frothing at the mouth? Were the police in a lather and shouting "Oy-see"? Did handsome Sgt Nop stand before his boss and declare: "A successful operation, sir. The dastardly coward of an owner of the soap penis shop has come clean."

Now raid the temples, a lot wooden penises there.....

yes right, very insulting.....

High time for Art 44!!

Any penises over 3 inches are a threat to national security..............................(and envy)

Oh, the horror ...

Illegal to sell them, but not to take photos of them and sell newspapers with sensationalistic reporting?

Someone cocked up

I can understand why they arrested the cocks. They look alien to Thais.

The one with the blue balls is ironic. coffee1.gif

What about the wooden lucky dicks and the toys where you push on the guy's head and the little dick shoots out? They are for sell along the streets and in most tourist shops. Hanging in every bar is also a wooden dick which they use for luck and rub between the girl workers legs, should these bars be busted?

When you look on the left side they have the small one, on the right side the larger one.

....It is a mixed nationality area there.....

Tourist police Tuesday raided two spas and herb..?

Poor Old Herb he is in trouble again :)

When will he ever learn he is living in Thailand not Sweden WPFflags.gif

Last week in our village they held an annual ritual sort of thing I didnot quite understand but the wife said it has to do with fertility. Well at this festival they paraded to the wat and back twice. Each time there were 3 old women "grannies" running around with huge wooden phallics poking everyone and laughing. The women and phallics were a big part of the festival. At the wat there must have been more than 20 stored under a religious statue. So whats so wrong with soap shaped that way?

Dickheads...can't we have a laugh any more?

How does one arrest a shop?

Cleaning Up Pattaya 1 Soapy @ a time.

Thai's take offence to anything larger than 3mm. clap2.gif

So shop assistants were arrested while the owners and producers ????

PS. Why the tourist police? Are they worried tourists will see a penis or a pair of breasts?

Some Thai ladies were sniggering at the Nippon rule of three: 3000 baht; three minutes; three inches.

Can't any of you lot that think these are insignificant arrests by the police read? The reason was very clearly stated in the OP today, as it was yesterday.

Leave aside the banal, laddish remarks and ask yourselves whether you would be comfortable having those soap items on display to your children? I certainly wouldn't want my 7 and 8 year old girls to be put in that position and anyone who says that they wouldn't be bothered about it has something seriously wrong with them.

As a concerned father, why would you introduce your girls to this part of Thailand in the first place?

Saw more for sale last night.

Love the Thai writing all over them.
