New Land for Car Park

0028.jpg

PATTAYA:--Pattaya officials are searching for land to build a new multi storey car park to ease traffic congestion on Pattayas roads. There is already an automated one at Bali Hai which is too costly to use and only limited vehicles can use it.

The mayor of Pattaya has ordered everyone concerned to search for new land to construct a multi storey car park. They intend to build one on the Atthajinda road which is near Bali Hai pier. The land is 300 meters in length and 10-15 meters in width. They expect it will ease the congestion around Bali Hai Pier.

If you give them a place to park then they will drive there. Don't give them a place to park and there will be less cars on the road because there is no where to park. Get it?

Another nice earner for the town hall 555!

Well I am sure the developers of the Waterfront would be happy to see some of the bay filled in to move the shoreline back a bit...gigglem.gif

So the Bali Hai automated car park (approx. THB 400 million) is too costly to use and only limited cars can use it.......and therefore some land is going to be occupied in the close proximity.

Why bother? As soon as the new tollway is ready between Chonburi and Pattaya less cars will come anyway.

Well said.

Build it & they will come.

There should be no parking whatsoever available to daytrippers & parking permits for people who live in town.

There is a massive public transport infrastructure already inplace with baht buses & bike taxis

A park & ride system would help with car parks on the darkside & people bused in.

That carpark at Bali Hi should be turned into an entertainment complex with restaurants, bars & a play area for children.

Better still to knock it down & turn it into a public park

Yes like it was before.
