EXPAT, IN SEARCH OF THE RIGHT INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING IN THAILAND?

Thai uni standards are...well...not the best. In fact, the concept of standards is fundamentally lacking. Rampant plagiarism, whinging to boost a grade, gifts, theft aka kmutt, ...cancerous shenanigans, and that's just at a minister level.
Avoid like the plague.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
It's all fact up to "minister level". The last sentence is opinion.
Best of luck.
Lucky for us you are around. Usually facts have a source. Can you share yours so we can be better educated about the Thai education system. Thanks for your help.
Sure. I am the source. I have worked in Thai Unis for > a decade.

My efforts to establish standards, and a lot more, as relevant to my comments, were not well received.

Plagiarism is thoroughly covered by other authors, outside of TVF. Search and you shall find, easily.

Look at the Times Ed uni rankings.

Fingers crossed.
It was kmitl not kmutt

So in 10 years you became an expert in the 71 private universities, 80 public universities and the 21 community colleges throughout Thailand. I can't imagine why you werent successful your educational reforms throughout the country.

Prey tell the basis of your expertise, Dick.

Try to deal with the issues, with some substance, and a bit less attempted wit...it isn't working for you is it.

As I said, I stated facts. The opinion part is up to you.

Best of luck, Dick.

Your opinion, like my opinion, is limited by our equally limited experience in Thai universities. You've only seen negative while I've seen the negative improve to a positive. I'm quite skeptical of people who make blanket statements of a system based on their limited experience of that system. I'm sorry it hasnt worked out for you but that doesnt mean everyone who studies in Thailand or works in its universities will have an equally negative and wasted experience.

I've spent 7 years studying in a Thai university and 4 years working in it and seen massive improvements in how things are done. So I'm a bit more optimistic from my experiences while you're highly pessimistic from your experience. I hope things improve for you and your university.

You are way off the mark.

Read again, think again.

Quick points: Improvement yes, but still very poor. 7 years as a student isn't going to get you much experience as staff is it. As I said, I stated facts (read again).

Do your homework son.

Did you pass your degree, in?

Hired as what, after your studies? Any senior positions? 4 years working in the place you got your degree, isn't hitting high on the experience counter is it.

Still not seeing any concrete counter rational argument, solid experience based evidence, or specifics.

Homework?

Enjoy.

What facts?

Why is it necessary that the topic title is all caps? Someone missed the higher learning class regarding netiquette, my ears are ringing, going to turn my hearing aid down.

Is it possible to study for a master degree without first having a Bachelor degree. I have worked in a professional capacity in Thailand in the same company for more than 20 years so would that count instead of a first degree? I would like to be able to say I have an international recognized education from wherever, rather than simply hands on experience.

as far as I'm aware yes and no.. You need to talk directly with the university you're interested in.
