Retirement Visa/Overstay
In this case he would need to apply for a fresh non-O visa before re-entering the country. This is because the option of a 90-day non-O conversion of a visa-exempt entry at his local immigration office won't be available in his case since he has been on overstay: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf -

Krungsri online banking discontinued from 1 October 2025
That's definitely an issue, but I think the risk can be mitigated by using multi-factor authentication. For my Fidelity Investments accounts when I want to login on my PC they first send a message to my phone and I have to approve the login in order to login on the pc. What it really means is that SCB is too cheap to employ competent IT support staff. A bit but rather like Marks & Spencer in UK, who had a cyber-attack in April and whose online shopping is still only partially working! When I told staff in M&S that the whole thing was down to M&S's incompetence (not theirs, obviously) they actually believed the hype that you cannot prevent a cyber-attack or recover from it efficiently. -

Are you or I pre diabetic?
That is incorrect info. It MAY be reversible for SOME people, but even then no guarantee it is permanent https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/can-you-reverse-type-2-diabetes Although there's no cure for type 2 diabetes, studies show it's possible for some people to reverse it. Through diet changes and weight loss, you may be able to reach and hold normal blood sugar levels without medication. This doesn't mean you're completely cured. Type 2 diabetes is an ongoing disease. Even if you're in remission, which means you aren't taking medication and your blood sugar levels stay in a healthy range, there's always a chance that symptoms will return. But it's possible for some people to go years without trouble controlling their glucose and the health concerns that come with diabetes.
