Guards arrested after mall ATM heist

Two security guards at Siem Reap town’s Lucky Mall were arrested and detained for questioning yesterday after thieves made off with the contents of two ATMs there belonging to ANZ Royal and Canadia Bank, police said.

According to deputy provincial police chief Thong Sakun, Canadia has already filed a complaint in the case, but ANZ had yet to do so.

The guards who were arrested were on duty at the time of the robbery, which occurred around dawn yesterday morning.
