I understand that a lot of Burmese ladies work in Dannock & Hat Yai, I guess that explains the demand, for this route ?

My own guess, for the longest-route, would have been Chiang Mai to Phuket, which I understand is scheduled to take 22 hours and runs daily each-way, that can't be easy upon one's sit-a-pon ! blink.png

There is a bus that goes from either Surat Thani or Phuket to Ubon Ratchathani.

One or 2 daily buses. About 1 day to get from the 2 endpoints; lots of stops. 1200 baht or so and TVs in the seat.
