Univision dropping Miss USA pageant over Trump comments

I thought you were a golfer. Would you rather play the Costa Del Sol Golf Course or Doral's Blue Monster?

I doubt the "silly sod" gives a damn if he loses their corporate membership.

Edit:

I just noticed the Costa Del Sol is a public course asnd is not private. Univision could take all their illegal immigrant friends there for a round of golf. This is looking better and better for Univision.

I'm sure the wine cellar is extensive too.coffee1.gif

I'm sure it has ruined their lives.

I wonder what tit they are now going to do in response to his tat?

Bunch of bitchy schoolgirls the lot of them.

Nobody has a "right' to be offended. That's PC nonsense.

Great so I have carte blanche to insult you and your family as much as I like then?

Insults and being offended are two different things. I'd explain further, but it is off topic.

Trump is already got his lawyers up to the plate. Nobody has a "right' to be offended. That's PC nonsense. To the question, 'who's going to do the (fill in the blank) labor?' Americans. The idea that only Mexicans/ Central Americans will do manual labor is a manufactured policy to make dems look good supporting the "huddled masses." All the while denying Americans the means to start in the working world.

.

All the while denying Americans the means to start in the working world.

Yep.

Where I grew up in Florida, the legal age to work was 15. But I started when I was 7, selling seeds door-to-door.

By 10, I was watering yards, maintaining pools, and washing cars.

By 12, mowing lawns and painting houses.

I bought my first car (a '63 MGB) when I was 13, and restored it just in time for my license at 15.

At fifteen, I began cooking in a local restaurant.

I spent half my earnings, and saved the other half.

At 18, with those savings, I bought a house, refurbished it, and rented it out for the next 27 years.

Today I went to Crown Burgers in Salt Lake City. Open kitchen, 8 line cooks, four cashiers. If I hadn't spoken Spanish, my order would have been as messed up as the other customers before me.

All these jobs are taken now, and not by American kids contributing to a healthy "velocity of circulation" by keeping the cash in the American economy (most illegals send their paychecks back to family), or saving for an education.

The statement, illegals do jobs Americans won't, is unadulterated bull$hit.

Take the freaking 109 million Americans off the nonsensically named "public assistance," and make them pick vegetables for their money. If not, they can starve.

What a mess.

The things one does as a child may not be economically feasible as an adult.

There are also laws against child labor that didn't exist at that time. Some of those laws are great, but in some cases, I am not sure who they protect.

Funny how some are entitled to their opinion and others are not.

The Donald is entitled to his opinion and the Univision is entitled not to run his programs. Freedom all around. I'm entitled to my Atheism and Christian television stations are entitled not to run my programs or rants on the perils of monotheistic desert derived religions. Freedom all around.

I guess Univision could pre-empt it, but if they contracted to buy it, then they still need to pay.

And Donald has the freedom to sue them for breach of contract. He can probably afford better lawyers than them too.

Sure. Don't know what's in the contract, so they might be in violation of it. Still, if you can legally sack a person in some States because they happen to be Gay, and this is considered "Freedom", I don't reckon it's such a big deal that Univision take unkind actions with regard to Donald over his comments. Being a race-baiting xenophobe is surely a little worse than being Gay?

I doubt the courts will support you.

Yep, there is truth in much of what he says. The cartels run the country now and their sole aim is to sell as many drugs as possible to Americans. Yeah, there is no excuse for the stupid people who buy these drugs, but it's virtually impossible for law enforcement to stop the flow of drugs into the US.

And the illegal immigrant issue has been very contentious for many, many years. The problem is enough Mexicans have made it into the US over the years and been given amnesty so they are now a political powerhouse and a huge influence on US politics. They help shape favorable laws to be even more lenient on illegals. Eventually they will have enough influence to just open the flood gates and let them all in.

You do not have any idea what you are talking about...The BIG drug and guns dealer in the US is the FBI.....and its use the US banks and financial system to laundry the money.... The drug cartel is not running the country...it is used by the real rulers, like many other crime organizations, and the real rulers do not care about the people...just about power and money.

Illegal workers do just that...WORK....Most legal workers, US citizens by generations, do not produce anything and lives using welfare, food stamps, disability and unemployment benefits......or under the US Military payroll. Mainly.... spending US taxes.....

.

Federal law is 14, for, I believe, 18 hours a week. Most states allow unlimited hours in any occupation, at 16.

Economically feasible has nothing to do with my post.

Working taught me responsibility, work ethic, saving and investing strategies. It taught me the basics of business, and handling money. I had one job for a summer, washing dishes in an old folks home. Those seniors taught me invaluable life lessons I still apply today. Many of my friends had similar experiences.

I saved money for school, my first house, and a car for cash.

All when I was, as you put it, a child.

American kids are losing all that, to illegal immigrants.

And legal ones, too. 75,000 Irish teens get summer work visas to America each year. They take jobs at summer resorts, at good pay, and other places American teens would have loved to work.

I am glad that Trump is running for the US Presidency.....

After counting Trump's votes, at least we will know how many Americans are just plain stupid and ignorant...

I have no idea what being gay or atheist has to do with this thread but apparently there are some that believe it is pertinent.

Rather a stretch of the imagination just to make a personal point that nobody cares about.

The truth hurts. The tolerant liberal champions of free speech politically correct crowd can't handle the truth.

The tolerant liberals only support free speech when it is their opinion. If someone has a different opinion they prefer the free speech style of Stalin.

As far as I know Americans are guaranteed free speech.

So Trump can say what he likes as long as it isn't hate speech.

If he wants to scupper his election chances he can.

Univision run their business how they see fit. If they want to incur the wrath of the courts, they can.

Donald owns his golf courses. If he wants to cherry pick who can play, he can.

Univision and him can throw their toys out of the pram, if it's illegal, the courts can settle it.

Meanwhile it's brilliant entertainment.

I wouldn't be surprised if Univision are already commissioning a wacky sitcom called "El Trumpo".

I lived on a farm and started working when I was very young. By the time I was 12 I was working doing things like mowing lawns. At 14 I have a part time job as a printer's devil and I have continuously worked my entire life, so please don't lecture me.

My children, however, were not permitted to do many things when they were young that I did, including field work.

I wasn't lecturing you, but if I had been doing so, I would admit I did a poor job, as you are still totally missing my point.

POINT: The illegal aliens (not immigrants) Trump was referring to, are taking away millions of jobs from American kids eligible for legal employment. In doing so, the illegals damage our country's economy, deprive American kids of financial power, and deny them important life lessons.

Univision said to Trump "you're fired!" And then his usual response: I'll sue you. He tried to sue a comedian who said Trump's mother was a baboon -- not for defamation but because he was wrong, and showed his birth certificate to prove it.

I was hoping for something like this, that he says something that damages 'his brand.' Never mind this presidential farce, he's facilitating the demise of his crappy reality show (which I can't believe people watch). Stay tuned, there's more to come.

You're referring to that episode with Bill Maher...although the primate in question was actually an orangutan. Hilarious. Can't make this stuff up....

As well they should seeing that it was theirs to begin with. They are just taking back what was stolen from them and what their ancestors were murdered for. I am an American and a naval officer veteran, but knowing history, I can not buy in to the patriotic bs. This country is about money. I am happy to come here to make it and proud to go spend it in other countries.

Not just the US, ALL countries are about making money for the so called "elites".
