BANGKOK: -- Maroon 5 announced this morning they will add a second night in Bangkok after sales for their first show were hijacked by scalpers.

"Bangkok! Due to overwhelming demand, we've added a second show on Sept. 22 with our friends Dirty Loops. Tickets are on sale July 5!" the band announced.

While strong demand for tickets likely helped win a second night, the band was also left with a hole in their calendar after canceling their Sept. 23 Jakarta show on Tuesday because it fell during a Muslim festival.

Thaiticketmajor is such a scam operation. Several times I have experienced "sold out" of tickets or at least the best tickets only to see at the show a plenty of empty seats.

My only hope is that some persons lose money on the tickets they hoarded but haven't sold.

This is a form of corruption the government could do something about, but will they?

The sellers obviously don't have business licenses or pay taxes.

Will they?

Which optimistic logic leads them to believe that the same thing can't happen to the tickets for the second show? Obviously the prices need to be kept high for both nights.....

PS shouldn't they be called Maroon 6?
