longtom Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 A Thai man was shot dead yesterday (Sunday 28th, around 9 AM) on the steps to fishpond just before the temple. Haven't found the story in the news but have pictures to prove it. What a shame, one of the most peaceful places around.

namatjira Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 seems like a professional hit, the tall man was there to take the sculptor out, very unfortunate.
uksomchai Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 One of the hidden gems of Samui. A very peaceful and tranquil place sullied by such a crime. May his next life reflect his good work
ronaldo0 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 So they walked with him as usual to the temple , but the gunman overtook them to catch up with the victim!! Do they usually walk far apart???

FangFerang Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Sounds like another unsolvable crime. I really hope I'm wrong. Killing a man on sacred ground of any faith is surely an act of utter contempt for that faith, just as launching attacks from said ground is surely a remark that the faithful inside are faithless.
SOTIRIOS Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 ....is there anything sacred here..... ..have you been reading the posts daily..... ...sorry but one would have to conclude 'a Godless land'....pretense and ceremony aside....
MILT Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 ....is there anything sacred here..... ..have you been reading the posts daily..... ...sorry but one would have to conclude 'a Godless land'....pretense and ceremony aside....
