Is a 90 day report necessary if you are planning to leave the country

Featured Replies

Why is it that everyone seems to want to bend the rules- your 90 day is due- just go and do it.

Not exactly difficult to understand .

I think everybody understands perfectly well - yes the OP should do his report. Now let's consider the question the OP probably meant to ask - which seems to be if he skips his 90 day report, will he run into any trouble at the airport when leaving?

If you were going to leave on July 16th with your 90 day report due on the 15th, would you still do the report? It's technically, by-the-book wrong but I'd wager a whole lot of people would skip it.

What if your report were due on the 14th? Yeah probably still skip it. The 13th? Maybe. So where can we draw the line between skipping 3 days and skipping 30, knowing that 90 day reports aren't checked at the airport when leaving?

  • Immigration at the airport do not look for 90 day reports. You can ever take the slip for it out of your passport and they will not care. You will be fined at an immigration office for late reporting
