Hate to be negative, but if they offer the Thai Mother more money no doubt she will accept it...

It seems here in Thailand, Money is a God....

I wish the best for the guys and there family...., and it hope it all works out for them...

This is big news on the Thai Web Forums (Panthip) where the forum users have dug a little into the past of the Surrogate Mother and found Facebook posts where she had commented numerous times on her desire to have a 'luk-krung' child....

If true and these are not manufactured comments it shows that the Surrogate mother may have planed this from the offset.

---

Additionally: The Surrogate is not the Biological mother - One of the Men is the Biological father.. .. IMO this is somewhat of a no-brainer. The father should be awarded legal custody of the child.

I watch this story on Facebook, i did sign the petition.

They have just put a 160,000 signature petition forward. One of the parents is still in Thailand with Carmen, the egg donor woman came and did a dna, which showed that the surrogate has no right over the child. this is totally screwing up these guys lifes. And the lives of their children.

Carmen is now 9 months old!!!

Look up BringCarmenHome on google. She is beatiful. And so are her parents and brother.

they must be going through hell with this, just wish they could go home with her and give her a good life which she deserves..

for sure more than what the Mother could offer...

She says she would never ever sell her baby for money but I don't believe her, she knew what she was doing when she entered this contract with them in the first place.

It's probably not got anything to do with them being gay, the surrogate probably thinks she can squeeze out more money for the child. As another said here, in Thailand, money is a god.

Yep, I just saw that and corrected myself.

Either she's after more money, in which case good luck to to them. How much would she ask for before she decides she's got enough? Or she really did want a luk-krung child as apparently planned from the start AND she also has money of her own in which case, I fear this won't end well for the parents. I'm sure she knows who to bribe and all for the upcoming court case and we all know that in Thailand, if you have money you can pretty much get away with anything and get the law on your side even if you're in the wrong.

It's a shame these things happen. I would never trust any type of contract from Thailand. These things also happen all the time in western countries but at least you have a chance to fight it.

From what i understand. that father has been sitting in a hotel room with his child for the past nine months. Not badly, just to show that he is a good father. His partner has since take their son back to Spain.

The surrogate, bitch, does not seem to give a damn about the baby. Has she been around when Carmen cries, or anything.

Read the Facebook page, the couple just want to be family. At home, in Spain, surrounded by loving family and friends. Who are all waiting to meet Carmen with big hugs and kisses.

They, their family and a few odd people like me,

We want to get Carmen home. Basta.

Even the egg donor came forward... which she didn't have to do. But she did . out of goodness of her heart.

What a shitty, horrible situation to be in. And why is that woman doing it to them. Coz they are gay?

In one vid i saw, Carmen says Dada. never mama.

Carmen looks chinese.

But who cares, everybody wants to get Carmen home, and she is a wee sweetie. in the pics i have seen.

I bumped this thread. Because it is sad that we forget Carmens daddies. And their utter love and devotion to their children.

Which everyone can see. They have given up their lives and professions for her, which shows their love.

And the day they get her home to Spain, wherever they live. There shall be a fiesta for her!! And i shall clap my hands in total glee and happiness for that family. Reunited, as they should be.

They are going to court on the 30th of this month. Google getcarmenhome and read for yourselves what these, obviously, devoted daddies are going through. She is still in Thailand. She should be home in Spain with her loving family.

What a totally sad, unfortunate situation.

But, also sadly, a warning to other same sex couples who want to have kids. To really educate themselves on the ins and outs and rules and regulations. So something like this will not nor should have happen again.

The distress they must be going through is undescribable.

They didn't buy her.

yes they did, pay a wife to make a baby.

Do you think that those men, after nine months of ups and downs, plus the months of waiting for Carmen. Bought her? Do you think that they brought the egg donor all the way to Thiland to do a dna test. as a joke?

Perhaps read up on the Carmen strory before, commenting- Your sad comments are not appropriarate.

exploiting a woman in a low income country to make you a baby is no joke

So what if they are beautiful people or not?

If they were ugly, should they receive different treatment?

So a non-Asian gay couple have a surrogate mother carry another woman's fertilized egg (who appears Asian) to fruition in a country that neither the two gay guys or the egg donor are citizens of...and nobody foresaw there might be some complications in the future?

I remember when the World used to be such a simple place.

So some guy spends a few minutes and dumps some sperm in a cup while a woman carries a child inside of her for 9-months and gives birth...and who exactly should be re-united with the baby? And why?

using a 'cheap' surrogate mother is not appropriate. mothers develop a bond with the child inside them. if you want a kid adopt one there are loads of them waiting for a good life in an orphanage.

The procedure they have gone through is far from cheap and this scenario is a lot different than the couple who had twins and one had defects and was left in Thailand. It was a little more complicated than that, but these guys have certainly shown a bond and dedication to this child.

why did they choose a Thai woman and not a woman from the country they live, either cost driven or legal issues. Just adopt a kid.

I see no need to make a baby. If the gays want to raise a child, and assuming all with good intentions, then just adopt one. Going the surrogate, and having a women that is not your wife make a baby just because you want your DNA propagated is egotistical and narcissistic.

Perhaps so, but the same would be true of infertile hetero couples who use surrogates, and many do.

It's so easy to judge but it seems to me "natural" to want your kids to have your genes, "selfish" or not.

How far would you like to take the moralizing?

Perhaps the world is already too crowded, maybe having any children now in any way is selfish? coffee1.gif

Or maybe not having children is selfish?

Where does the moralizing end?

isn't this trafficking in children?

No.

But the contract which they originally signed as a legal contract in Thailand can no longer be signed as legal in Thailand.

Because the law on foreigners using surrogacy here has CHANGED since then.

But it seems to me, I'm not sure, that the original contract is being seen as valid RETROACTIVELY, and the case has become mostly about custody rights, with the surrogate mother's arguments (her alleged objections to a same sex couple raising the kid) are being considered.

They have written on their Facebook page that they are leaving Bangkok to live a bit more cheaply in a village somewhere, with Carmen - who they have looked after and brought up since her birth last February. They say that this has ripped their family apart. Their son is back in Spain, they are unable to have a normal family life. All that woman had to do was to sign the paper to give Carmen her passport. What more does she want?

They have brought all the evidence that Carmen is not that woman's child - even bringing the egg donar into the scenario.

These guys are fighting to the end to get their child home, that is not in anyone's eye child trafficking. That is two loving parents wanting to bring their children up in a safe and happy environment.

If the surrogate was so concerned about Carmen, why wasn't Carmen living with her for the almost first year of her life`?

This must be ripping them off financially, but mostly emotionally every month.

Sign the petition, please. Bringcarmenhome.
