China brides return to Cambodia after 2 years

Two more Cambodian women who were allegedly cheated by human traffickers into marrying Chinese men returned home yesterday.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Chum Sonry said the women, identified as from Kandal province, had spent almost two years in China before their repatriation yesterday.

“They were cheated by the broker to marry Chinese men in 2013, but they were mistreated so appealed to come back home. Now they have arrived home,” he said.
