Buffy Frobisher
Buyer beware. You go to the website, click on the English icon and it all looks good, have a look at the Android app for "Thailand Highway Traffic" (traffic conditions, cameras etc) which says it's in English on the details box left screen, click through to the Play Store and again they have it listed it with Google as an English language app. All good, but then you discover that the only thing in English is the damn page headers! Why do they even bother? It's a source of constant amazement at the cursory use of English here, but claiming an app is in English just because the name of it is, is really taking the p...! These Thai Government computer programmers write code in English - what's so hard about making a real English version of the apps? Singapore will kick the pants off this country in a few months when the AEC becomes reality, especially in the technology arena.
Always18
Sounds really great - I thoroughly trust the current regime with anything they say or do, especially if it's the offer of a free app for your mobile device....................
phoenixdoglover
A nice thing for the Thai people, if the apps themselves are worthwhile. However, I don't know what the last part means regarding "300 sets" of information. Could be anything.

'the only thing in English is the heading' I bet the report for that app confirms English language is available. Like the conference to improve teacher quality. Just for show. RIJoe
Interestingly, a video on the news last night showed a police helicopter. How did I know it was police? It was in English on the side, 'Royal Thai Police.'
