Jimlove
"These workers had been detained by the Indonesian authorities for more than 6 months without any assistance from their employers." So Thai Embassy in Indonesia didnt go to help these people like they did with the gun-smuggling idiot in Japan ... I thought the Thai Ministry claimed they would help any thai that got detained in a foreign country ... but these fishermen are poor of course so who really care ... They only react according to US keeping them on Tier 3 where they belong - its all show and no substance Business as usual

Srikcir
"public transportation operators to fight human trafficking by asking them to inform officials of suspected activities in the province." I'd prefer that the operators pay more attention to the road traffic than looking for possible human trafficking activities. Since Thai people would never be involved in such activities, I expect all reported suspects will be non-appearingThais. Maybe it's time for the police to sweep all foreigners in the country as potential traffickers.
