PATTAYA: -- Over the weekend, Banglamung Police were called to a lake in the Takiendier area, in the Northern outskirts of Pattaya, after a barrel containing the charred remains of a human were found.

The 200 liter Barrel was removed from the lake and the charred remains of a human were found inside along with a piece of rope. It is thought the person, who cannot be identified as a male or female at this time, due to the condition of the skeletal remains, had died after being thrown into the barrel and was then set alight nearby.

An area of burnt grass nearby, in the shape of the barrel was seen as was a number of spent bullet casings, although Police cannot link the bullets to the case at this time as they know the area is commonly used by young men who shoot their guns in the air at the location.

I wouldn't suppose it's the most shocking thing they've seen this week - judging from their ultra-casual demeanor, as they willingly peer into the abyss..

Police know the area is commonly used by young men who shoot their guns in the air at the location.

That's a relief then....that they're aware,I mean .

a murderer at the scene, gun, knife in hand, its really case closed.

Wasn't there a store owner murdered in the same area in March this year?

Yes here.

Where exactly is this area?

It may be that Takiendier is a variant transliteration of Takhian Tia, a sub-district in Bang Lamung.
