What would be the easiest option departing Jomtien in the morning and possibly coming back in the afternoon/evening? Is there a boat /bus/minivan service? Realistically you won't make it from sunrise to sundown, not to speak of "morning to afternoon". Just enough time to drink a cup of coffee and then get back. Yellow bus Pattaya Nua 18.30 approx 5 hours, price about the same but get a sarny and bottle of water. Someone mentioned the other day Kanair have started again from U Tpao- HH but you would need to check that. Taxi about 3,500. Not really a day trip, stopeover better.
