Solar Tuk-Tuks Rolling Out Soon

PHNOM PENH (Khmer Times) – Star 8 Asia will launch its electric-powered tuk-tuk showroom on August 28, hoping for robust demand from the city’s drivers.

The company has interviewed over 100 drivers during the creation of its three models – two for passengers and one for freight. The company boasts that the vehicles will offer a price advantage to their operators, besides being environmentally friendly.

“Of course it's cheaper than gasoline," said Phil Stone, Star 8 Asia's general manager.

One full charge will give the vehicle a range of 50 to 80 kilometers, depending on road quality. Five hours of peak sunlight, which is standard for Cambodia, will extend that range by up to 30 percent. A full charge from an outlet may cost up to $2 total.

ThaiVisa, c'est aussi en français

ThaiVisa, it's also in French

Another great idea. Does Thailand have to queue up for this to arrive here? There seems to be a lot more news from Cambodia on this site? Am I missing something. I thought the name was Thai Visa.

Yes, you are missing something. There's a Cambodia section and a Myanmar section.
