Hi,

it seems that the government change the rules for us foreigners nearly daily. To be sure that I do everything the right way, I have the following questions:

To my person: I am a German on a ED-Visa. The Visa ends on the 28th of August. I got the opportunity to get a Teacher job in the Uthai Thani province. The contract is made, and I moved today from Bangkok to Uthai.

1. Question: I need to do my 90 Day Report on the 18th of August. Can I do this already in Nakonsawan or do I need to go back to Bangkok? Which documents I need when I can do it in Nakonsawan? (rental contract as a proof for my address?)

2. Question: I will go to Laos at the 25th to cancel my ED-Visa. For my school it is not possible to provide the necessary documents in time, so that I can`t apply for my working visa directly in Laos. So I plan to apply for a tourist visa come back and apply for my visa in Nakonsawan. As I know, for Laos I need a police clearance certificate. Do I also need it for Nakonsawan? Apart from the documents my school provide, which documents I need?

3. Question: Teaching License: I read that it is not necessary to make directly a teachers license. Is this correct. I will do the license soon, never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

I just want to know if I need to hurry?

Thanks in advance!

1. In order to do your 90 day report in Nakhon Sawan you will need to do a TM28 change of address form. You will need your rental contract as proof of residence. The may also want a TM30 form done by the home owner.

2. I don't think you will be able to get your non-b visa in Nakhon Sawan only a very few offices are allowed to do them. You more than likely will have to go back to Laos.

3. You will get teachers license waiver. You cannot apply for it until you have your non-b visa.

Thanks Ubonjoe for your reply!

The idea to make the tourist visa in laos and the non-b in Nakhon Sawan is from the immigration in Nakhon Sawan. My school spoke with them, and they told us to do it that way.

"Schools" are rarely well informed about visa or immigration issues.

I would suggest you make personal enquiry about the visa and not rely on what the "school" tells you.

Hello salo123,

1. They are what you need to apply for a Non-B for teaching.

1. One graduation certificate from your university

2. One academic transcript from your university

*3. One police clearance

**4. One TOEIC Test score

*You can go to The Headquarters of Royal Thai Police in Bangkok

to apply for a Thai police clearance and go back there one month

later to pick it up in person. I was not allowed to have it sent to me

by mail.

**You need a TOEIC (an English test for Listening & Reading) score

of 600 or more out of 990 if you’re not from from The USA, Canada,

The UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand. (02-260-7061 or

Surely the TOEIC is only needed if the OP is going to teach English ? Possibly he will be teaching German ?
