Fastest visa run from Pattaya

Featured Replies

If i have a double or tripple entry tourist visa and reside in Pattaya/Jomtien region what is my best options when my 60+30 days of stay is coming to an end?

Do i first have to go to bangkok or do i have any faster local options?

Any experienced advice much appreciated.

There are a number of "visa run" companies in your area who go to Cambodia.

^ what he says.

There are many "Border run" companies in Pattaya with prices averaging approx 23xx THB.

They leave around 7:00am and you are back in Pattaya (with a new "permission to stay" at around 2-3pm.

Pong nam Ron Chantaburi province. 225 km.

Go with the company in queen Vic soi 6, 2500 free breakfast and return meal and big ass chairs there are only 6 chairs in the van, best option for a crap day

The Cambodia run is probably the quickest route.
Certainly doesn't make it the best..

The drivers will usually push metal to the floor, flat out, no compromise, for the whole journey.
While I appreciate that the drivers start early in the day, and probably want to get back home to help the wife with household chores, the speed and the way they drive is enough to add years on yer..

I've done it a few times, and I will never do it again.

I've seen the pickup truck in front of us, who was being tail-gated by our driver, spin off the road with fatal consequences for the occupants.
Driver jumped straight back in and proceeded to tailgate the next vehicle in front of us.

Its a nightmare journey..
quickest but an awful journey..

I drove that route on my Yamaha MX. When one of those vans passes you, you definitely know it. Very scary.

I feel for the other road users.

and I cannot say for certain but I'm pretty certain that the pickup that was in front of us would not have crashed if they weren't being harassed by our driver.

stay safe out there.

I did a run to activate my 2nd entry 2 weeks ago. Cost was 2300, up from 1900 last year. Visa run shop is on Soi bukow. Picked me up at 6.00 from my condo in South Pattaya, got back about 3pm. I was the first to be picked up and last to be dropped off so would have been a little less time. Went to Ban pakkard Cambodia crossing in chantaburi. Done that run about 10 times now. Van drivers like to race each other to the border and to the lunch stop off on the way back.

Strangely this last run I was the only falang, bus was full of Laos workers getting stamps. My first few runs 4 years ago was full of Falangs... Makes me think Pattayas long stay residents/tourists, etc are changing.

Last trip I used the gals sitting in front of Robin's Nest just before Soi Bukhao. Standard as all the others. I note as did another poster that most of the people were not Caucasians but asians

Interesting, as I have just looked at the price of the company I use and there prices have gone up from 2500 to 2800, that's 2 much for a Visa run especially as the fuel costs have gone down

Edited by 2008bangkok

The price has gone up as the price of the Cambo visa has gone up from $20 to $30.
