Hi all

Looking for advice on the following problem.

My surname is spelt incorrectly in Thai on our marriage cert (married to a Thai) and we will be moving back to Thailand soon and bringing my new son with us.

He is entitled to a Thai passport but we need to sort his Thai birth cert here before we go. Do we just leave the translation as the incorrect one or do we need to go and change the marriage cert then apply for his papers.

Its a major hassle to change everything so was hoping we can just get the birth cert then change the surnames on the marriage cert and birth cert next year when we move over.

Any help appreciated.

They will not change the marriage certificate. You might be able to get them to do a correction on the Kor Ror 2 marriage registry.

You will not be able to do anything about it at the embassy. It would be best to just move ahead with getting the birth certificate and then try get it changed here later.
