Students allowed to choose how they spend shortened school days

Here's a thought. If they are dead set on reducing class time by 90 minutes, which I think is a horrible idea, why not use those last 90 minutes of the school day to show an English language film or tv show with Thai subtitles every day. Watching English movies or tv shows is a good way to improve and retain English language skills--something Thai students should be learning. If it's just an hour show, there could be a half hour discussion, in English, of what the show was about, who liked it or not, etc.
