National Reform Council votes down draft charter

BANGKOK: -- The draft constitution was voted down Sunday by the National Reform Council.
Altogether 135 NRC members voted to reject the draft against 105 who voted in support. Seven members abstained from voting.

Crown Prince to present a special bike for armless boy cyclist who joined “Bike for Mom” ride

BANGKOK: -- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn has asked authorities concerned to look for the 11-year old armless cyclist who took part in the “Bike for Mom” cycling on August 16 so he can be given a special bike for the armless.

Hailed as a boy with a heart of the national flag’s tri colours and with a strong will, the Crown Prince ordered his court officials to build a special bike for the boy, Watthana Kam-in or Nong Tham, so he can use it with ease and to make his life more comfortable.

Nong Tham is living in Muang district of Phitsanuloke and he joined the “Bike for Mom” cycling to honour Her Majesty the Queen in Phitsanuloke.

Photos which show him cycling armless won consolation prize in the category entitled “determination” in a photo contest marking the “Bike for Mom” event.
