NAKHON SAWAN – Pol Lt Bonchote Kiewlek, a duty officer at Takhli police station in Nakhon Sawan Province has told reporters that two men were killed Sunday in Takhli district after their six-wheel truck cut in front of a moving train and was struck before it could cross the tracks.

Pol Lt Bonchote Kiewlek said the accident occurred at noon at an unregulated rail crossing at Ban Hua Wai in tambon Hua Wai, the Bangkok Post reported.

The two men were employees of a company transporting canned foods and drinks.

Another fine topic for bestgore.com

Maybe I am a little deaf and don't always hear the train whistle but I sure make an effort to see if a train is coming from either direction!

When you hear that whistle blowing.

...sadly this is an indication of the 'common sense' of many so-called 'skilled labor'....commercial drivers.....

...and again...those fantasy car commercials that show the driver performing all those incredible stunts....do not help at all...

At least the locals will clear up all those cans, drink packs and bottles.

Never argue with a train, you'll always lose.

This happens far too often, whats going to happen when/if

they get those High speed trains,

regards worgeordie

Many Thai drivers are brilliant at misjudging the speed of of other vehicles on the road so why should the judgement of the speed of oncoming trains be any different? Lunacy in the extreme.

Then the vehicle hit by the train will be pushed for 2 kilometres instead of 300 metres. whistling.gif

idiots!!

No just typical Thai's .

you would have thought that 2 people being in the truck, one would have got out to check, but, Nah ! we can make it no problem, oops , we're dead.

Why get out? Just stop, look left look right. Simple really.

Well maybe not for Thai drivers.

Two less idiots that Thailand has to deal with. But no worry, there are plenty more to take their place behind the wheel of a delivery truck. cheesy.gifclap2.gif

Very funny topic, isn't it! After all they were only Thais.

If there were 2 farangs sitting in the back beeing killed ...

bah.gif

if only he had flashed his lights first.....the train driver would have slammed on the brakes and yeilded to the fury of the headlight flash.......or maybe not in this case.
