Anyone know where to buy well made chesterfields at a good price in bkk/Thailand?

BTW that's the couch and not the cigarette variety

Need one for my study. Found one source but their local price is almost double the export price, i.e. it costs more direct from the factory than if bought retail overseas - just a bit too crazy to accept.

There's a large chain called Index. Good prices on a wide assortment. Don't compare prices of anything to back home, you're not home and you either need it or you don't. Most things here are cheaper than back home.

you can get a nice hand made chesterfield for about 17,000 Baht.

I had 2 sofas and an armchair hand made, really nice too by the way. I used Island Furniture in Phuket, they have them on show plus a book of colours of fabrics.

I am sure if you ask around, show some pics downloaded from the internet/catalogues you will have no probs getting one made.
