Rubber Authority of Thailand takes 4 step measures in keeping prices stable

BANGKOK, 10 September 2015 (NNT)-The Rubber Authority of Thailand has said the prices of rubber would stabilize with the increase of rubber usage.

President of the Rubber Authority of Thailand Committee Somchai Channarongkul said all stakeholders in the rubber industry must work together in order to stabilize keep rubber prices.

According to him, related parties should focus on improving 4 areas of the industry, including creating zoning for rubber growers under which locations and the amount of rubber produced are clearly defined.

Others consist of encouraging manufacturers to use rubber to produce goods, promoting the growth of the auto industry where more rubber can be used to make tires, and making sure profits are distributed fairly among rubber farmers and exporters.

The prices of rubber would not fluctuate if supply were proportionate to demand, Mr. Somchai added.
