PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Thursday a 25 year old Pattaya City Hall worker was killed after she is suspected of falling asleep at the wheel and smashing into the wall of a North Pattaya Temple with her car.

Police and medics rushed to the scene of the crash on the Sukhumvit Road outside of the Gratin Rai Temple in the Northern outskirts of Pattaya, just before 3.30am.
At the scene, the driver of a Black Toyota Yaris, Khun Apinyar aged 25, was declared dead-at-the-scene and was removed from her mangled car after suffering life-ending high-impact injuries.

Witnesses confirmed the car was being driven at a high rate of speed and appeared to veer off the main carriageway in a non-urgent manner, which suggests to Police the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
