Angela I, Empress of the European Union by the grace of former German chancellor Helmut Kohl, makes a mistake and a few dozen chaps, mostly citizens from insignificant remote islands, are getting their knickers in a twist.

Do the rich Gulf states know something Germany doesnt.. ? They are only offering money (which is easy for them ) but not taking any refugees from the Syrian conflict .

The Gulf States know that they can send their Filipinos and Thais home any time they need to. They are Guest Workers.

Germany used to have this option, but now it seems it no longer has any options left.

The elephant in the room is Assimilation. The PC brigade will not allow the EU governments to have the debate. Ay least the Hungarians were honest about their expectations.

Some economic migrants will bring great benefits to the European economy. Many will not, and expect the European states to change to become more like the (backward-looking) countries they ran away from, but still providing social housing, free healthcare and benefits culture that the west is known for..

"Social housing, free healthcare" ?

You must be joking. Nothing is free in Germany.

They take away contributions to the social security system and all kind of taxes, but they tell you piss off if you want something in return. And they even charge you for leaving.

The people most aggrieved about these "injustices" towards the refugees....funnily enough.....seem to only be CNN news reporters....what the $#@%

Not only CNN reporters. There's much support for these German "left" activists from American movements and their media. Much on Facebook, don't underestimate them.

Just as Radio Moscow used to pump out endless good news on tractor production to what it hoped would be a grateful population, the BBC is broadcasting relentless agit-prop trying to peddle the idea that migrants bring only good and that anyone who disagrees is an evil racist.

The BBC will fail, like its ideological counterpart, steamrollered by the unavoidable facts which appear, contradicting their message.

Represented these politicians at all the interests of their own people?

Many do not want any mass integration of refugees, but a timely return.
Really politically persecuted contact us as long as protection is really necessary.until the conflicts are resolved in there home countrys
and then let them return to their homes again.
Asylum is not a migration through the back door, but a humanitarian assistance in temporary emergencies.

Incredibly, that hundreds of thousands can freely walk through Europe without an identity check and without proper screening.
I do not want to know how many extremists and potential terrorists are already leaked in.

Guesy in extreme situations *anybody* could become a terrorist. This means, everybody is a *potential* terrorists. Consequently, screening would be useless. Avoid terrorism-creating situations, that's all that can be done.

So you don't think someone that trained with ISIS is more likely to be a terrorist?

Merkel's actions presently, when compared with her emphatic conclusion that multiculturalism has failed in Germany in 2010, clearly indicate either profound incompetence or that she is bought and paid for by interests determined to dilute cultural Europe irrespective of the will of the people.

Regardless of "temporary border checks to limit" invaders, Germany has dangerously exposed the remainder of the EU to a dilution policy that Merkel repudiated 5 years ago.

Response to Merkel on migration/integration

Get it? Once the assignment has been granted- German citizenship- this ipso facto means they are now German and thus further efforts to integrate these new people are offensive. The attainment of the prize itself- citizenship- therefore presupposes integration or that integration can no longer apply because... they are Germans. Welcome to islamic dissembling. Following this reasoning any deliberation of integration or not is stopped in its tracks at the threshold of citizen, or not.

Of course trained members of IS are a higher risk than untrained angry young men. But IS fighters would rather come by plane than walking with the refugees, and they would still have to get armed. Edited by micmichd

Hungary has now sealed it's border with Serbia and we might be seeing the beginning of the end of the free for all.

Prepare for tearful news reports of how the illegal economic migrants are suffering because they can't get to the country of their choice. Like they think they have "rights" to go wherever they please.

It will be interesting to see what Serbia does, now they can't just shuttle them through to Euro.

Shunt them off through the old enemy Croatia seems to be the new plan. They won't stay in places like Croatia, Slovenia or even Italy, of course -- even Denmark isn't good enough for them, apparently.

I really wonder where they get their massive sense of entitlement from.

Cnn has styled itself as some sort of humanitarian news organisation....they drive me nuts with their human slavery stories...its worse than being spammed....the new story with the fat tattooed white woman who was a sex slave just makes me wonder who the real slave was.

Yes, im expecting a lot more heart rending pics of cute refugee kids with snot dribbling down their noses.
