British consulate ...e-mails bouncing

Featured Replies

The British consulate has a Loxinfo e-mail address but all my mail gets returned saying that the mailbox is full. I realise that Loxinfo do not offer much capacity, but I would have thought that a consular consular arm of the FO would clear their box regularly. Wishful thinking? Perhaps. Does anybody have an alternative e-mail address for them?

Try calling them in the morning.

They are far more responsive to calls than to e-mails.

In fact, regarding e-mails they are pretty much useless.

When dealing with the British Consulate, if you start with incredibly low expectations you won't be disappointed in their level of service, which to be honest, is not really their fault, they are simply underfunded and understaffed.

I thought the consulate was "no more".

Closure was announced in 2012... Not sure if it happened

According to the embassy in Bangkpk, they still have representation in Chiangmai. Mind you the British foreign office moves as fast as a retarded snail.wink.png

Very unfair.

I have dealt many times with the Consulate staff and in every instance Panitha and her team have gone above and beyond what is required by their FCO employers.

In every instance they have done as much as they could and more than they should by FCO requirements.

They deserve credit, not cheap sarcasm.

In my experience the above also applies to the current Hon. Con.

I am not referring to form filling.
