Using UK licence to get Thai licence but photocard out of date

Hi,

I want to get a Thai License using my UK licence, but the photocard part of my licence is out of date. Now I know this doesn't make my licence actually out of date, as it has the dates on the back till my 70'th birthday. However the date for the photocard is on the front, so im wondering if I will have issues when applying for the Thai licence.

Does any body have experiencing applying for the Thai licence with an out of date UK photocard?

Cheers

When I first applied for a drivers licence here my old Oz one was 3 years expired

The biggest problem the woman behind the counter had was my licence was in English

She thought Thai was a language used by all government departments whistling.gif

My wife tried to explain if I was from Japan it would be in Japanese

It fell on deaf ears so her boss took over

For residence letter I believe I can use my work permit. Correct?

I think that will depend on your local Land Transport Office. Mine insists on the leter from immigration.

Agree with all when I did my first Thai licence I only had an old English licence the paper type that didn't have a snap on it. No problem as they only look at the bits that tell you what you can drive.

As other have said more interested in Passport and address.
