  • 46.1% of residents said they were Christian, 21.8% Muslim and 19.3% no religion. For one Ofcom did the right thing. The ignorance of Fox News is stunning.
They most likely meant that some areas of B-ham were no go, with that high a percentage of mussies there must be plenty of shariatards.

What happened to the rest? Add the figures and it doesnt total 100% only something like 87% so there is roughly 13% unaccounted for. Suggests the figures have been made up and not checked.

There are a lot of Jews, Sikhs and Hindus as well as other religions like Buddhists.

Not to forget the 0.7% of people that claimed Jedi as their religion in the 2001 census.

Political correctness is the Achilles heel of the West. Take a look and judge for yourself.

Most European countries has bigger citites with no-go zones for westerners - Muslim "Refugees" claim there is sharia-law and that the original population have to follow scum muslim rules ... Everybody with a brain knows that

Europe will end like Jugoslavia back in early 90´ties ...

Fox News also falsely claimed the existence of 'no go' zones in France for which they later apologised. Even one of the favourites of the anti-Muslim movement, Daniel Pipes, acknowledged his errors in claiming the existence of no go zones in Europe.

I guess you're unaware the initial aggression, ethnic cleansing & war crimes in the former Yugoslavia were primarily the responsibility of Christian Serbs.

Did Fox News say this was their official corporate stance on the issue? Some "contributor" makes a possibly boneheaded, possibly insensitive statement. Adult viewers can't deal with this without Big Brother stepping in?

It's a manufactured sh1tstorm whipped up by liberals to be used as a one size fits all attack on anyone concerned with mass Muslim Immigration.

P.s the intellectual dishonesty in condemning Tommy Robinson is disgusting. The EDL were never 'extreme right', the difference between them and the BNP was very clear to anyone who cared to look. Now with the EDL out of the way the danger of the BNP getting some traction is far greater. Good work libs, you are evidently incapable of seeing further than the end of your noses.

@chicog Unfortunately so

You missed the gentrification of both Brixton and St Pauls then? cheesy.gif All those middle class white people living in the no go area. clap2.gif

Agreed I did miss them. I am sure there are also other places we have not thought of as well

Other places which have seen riots in years gone past? How about London or Bangkok? Are they now no go areas in your historical riot fearing mind or does it take black people rioting for you to forever fear a part of a city?

Did you watch the video? The man is deeply insulting and rude and makes threats to "come in their houses" and you seriously want to say that it is "disgusting" to condemn the party this man was leading?

The EDL may have not been as extreme as the BNP but that does not mean that they were not also extreme, in the past they have burnt anti-Nazi flags, appeared various times giving Nazi salutes, shot fire works at the police, smashed up high streets, beaten up Muslims and burnt down a Mosque. Clearly they are more of a center right group. cheesy.gif

Instead of judging Tommy Robinson by selective footage from biased media out to portray him in the worst light possible, here he is in his own words for those who can be bothered. But as I stated the EDL is now effectively no more. Unless UKIP can mobilize the middle of the road moderate opposition to Islam in time there will be blood on the streets, the longer it festers the more chance of scum like the BNP actually getting some traction.

Robinson's actions were the equivalent of a rival opposition football supporter taking a 'victory lap' around the opponents home turf and getting in the faces of everyone. He was not in his community. He was a tourist. It may have been his mother's community when he was in short pants but it is not now. If he lived there as part of the community, he would get a very different response.

He was not just a tourist in that community, he is clearly recognisable and notorious for his views. You believe it appropriate for someone to enter another person's community and start slagging off at the residents there? What did he expect? If you are walking out of your local with the flag of St George tattooed on your posterior and some 'foreigner' comes up and gets in your face trying to convince you about the merits of the EU and multiculturalism, what would your response be?

There are people of many different races and religions living in the UK, and elsewhere. They have to live somewhere. They congregate in communities. Members of these communities, whether they are of the same race or creed, will be accepted as equals. People there just to sh** stir will get a different response.

Over an hour of testimony as to what life was like growing up in Luton and you dismiss it with one line. Likewise I note from this thread that a one line daft comment by someone ignorant of the UK and not working for Fox News has brought out the same reductionism based on prior political views.

Did you mean to reply to me? I agree with you, he was purposely trying to make the Muslim man look aggressive, unfortunately for him he was being filmed and was clearly the antagonist, he deserved the punch.

Yes, when you complain about him being portrayed wrongly by biased media and in the same sentence recommend to look/listen to that, the most biased opinion possible, then yes, there is no point.

. The EDL were never 'extreme right',

I guess it all depends upon where you are standing.

Indeed.

A few comments on it's founder, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson, aka Andrew McMaster, aka Paul Harris. Why does he need so many aliases?)

Ex BNP member.

Convicted football hooligan.

Convicted of assaulting an off duty police officer who intervened to stop Yaxley-Lennon beating up his then girlfriend.

Convicted of common assault against a fellow EDL member.

Convicted of attempting to enter the USA with a false passport.

Convicted of mortgage fraud.

Plus various convictions for drug related offences.

A fine, upstanding, model citizen; not!

Areas of cities such as Birmingham may be places where racists and bigots choose not to go; but that does not make them 'no go' areas!

Of course, being a Muslim, of Pakistani origin or any religion or ethnicity does not prevent one from being a racist and bigot, and it is true that a very tiny minority of Muslims have attempted to instigate so called 'Sharia patrols' in some areas.

But these people are quickly reported to the police, often by Muslim residents of those areas, and, where there is sufficient evidence, prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned.

For example:

I am neither a racist nor a bigot and yet there are plenty of places around the UK where I would not go for my own safety. You obviously have never been to these places yet post like you are an authority on them.

It may enlighten you that the most popular name in the UK today is Mohamed and that there are far more Muslim school children than there are Christians in Birmingham but no doubt me pointing this FACT out will make me a bigot and a racist because telling people things YOU do not wish them to know is racist and bigoted

Try walking down Peckham high street on any given day. You could be anywhere in a Middle East country in some Suk. That may not be a no go area like parts of Birmingham but it isn't or should I say WASN'T typical of London but is now

Guess you people are blind to the news that asian, Muslims gangs have been abusing children for ages and got away with it because the authorities were too scared to be labelled racists to investigate. But hey If you upset a Muslim in the slightest way then it just gives the Muslim apologists the excuse they need to protect the religion of peace

I forget who said it but he said that " the Muslims are the only religion that acts like the Mafia. say the wrong thing, draw the wrong picture or upset them in some other way and they will kill you "

And they were spot on !

Indeed the Muslim in the video would have been arrested for assault had it not been Tommy Robinson he slapped. But some of our esteemed members are evidently okay with the concept of Dhimmi status. Edited by Steely Dan

A lot of you on here sound very much like the Muslim apologists trying to defend the Charlie Hebdo shooters by saying they shouldn't have upset the Muslims by printing the cartoon. Like this Muslim was OK to slap this man as they don't like him or his ideals yet not OK to slap someone else ? <deleted> sake people These people are throwing gays from roof tops in the name of their GOD, beheading Kuffa at every chance they have and people are still prepared to call this dangerous ideology a religion of peace ? Even in Saudi Arabia they behave like religious savages by beheading criminals and they are now due to crucify a man for daring to protest against the rulers. I suppose he has everything he gets coming to him as well does he ?

The only way you can associate peace and Islam together is as Muslims say.

Only when everyone has bowed to the will of Allah will there be peace on earth
