Butt sprayers: using in other countries

Every modern house in the US has at least one installed. However, it is not installed in the bathroom, it is installed in the kitchen. The Sinks are made with an extra hole put there especially for the sprayer. They are used to clean the garbage from the plates into the sink/garbage disposal. I guess hanging your butt over the sink to wash it would be an option, but in the north where the "cold" water is near freezing in the winter it would be a real wake up call!

when i sold our home in Florida and those of two friends nearly every interesting parties asked what the strange gadgets were next to the "commodes". to the horror of my wife i always explained with a serious face that they are used for washing the

rather dirty vegetables we acquire at the produce section of the local flea market.

Why not just get a Bidet from France ? you can then also wash your feet, wash your cat or small dog in it, most have a hot and cold tap so you can adjust flow and temperature

all our bathrooms, including the guest toilet, have bidets installed. available in Thailand without any problems.

We took a spay from Thailand to the UK on one of our 6 month visits with the intention of fitting it in the bathroom. I fitted a Tee junction in the copper piping and connected it up and turned on the stop tap, and ...the feed pipe to the spay head exploded with the UK water pressure.

I bought a pressure reducing valve off eBay to control the feed pressure to the spray but never got round to installing it before we returned to Thailand

What he said laugh.png

I couldn't get decent hot water out of the mixer tap in a new house so i contacted the manufacturer. He asked me for the serial number on the control cartridge and the temperature of the hot and cold water. When i told him the cold water was around 34F he laughed and said the cartridge was for warmer cold water and send me a different cartridge.

So i cannot imagine a bum squirter with 34 degree water. bah.gif Also most western bathrooms are carpeted whistling.gif

As a uk plumber for 30 yrs I've never heard of a warmer water cartridge

Can someone please get me a left handed screwdriver?

I think he's on a wind up

I bought one from Thailand on e-bay in the UK and installed it. We are on mains, the pressure is something else here but the hose stood up for 3 years and then I bought a replacement from a UK merchant. True the power takes some getting used to as does the cold in winter (we don't use the mix just cold main). I'm going to miss the power when we come back to Thailand in a few weeks time! My wife says I'll have to buy a high pressure pump!

The fittings are all metric and will fit all over Europe and the UK as well as Thailand of course.

Thanks Cliveship, you seem to be confirming the earlier report that, indeed, the connectors are the same size and should fit. After doing more research I came to the same conclusion except that I read on one buttsprayer maker's site that the US connectors are different than the international standard.

Anyway, even if it doesn't fit hopefully the hardware shops will sell adaptors.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Brought one back to Sydney and fitted it easy, worked well for awhile, then it exploded, buy a top of the range one & it should be ok,
